Degree in Medicine from the University of Navarre. She is a specialist in respiratory medicine. Since 2006, she has been working on the Animal model of ventilator-associated pneumonia.
Having obtained her certificate of research proficiency with the project “Biological markers and histologic changes in an experimental model of pneumonia caused by MRSA in ventilated pigs”, she is currently writing her doctoral thesis on the “Efficacy of treatment with vancomicin compared to linezolid in ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) due to multiresistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in a pig model”.
The animal model of VAP due to MRSA may be useful in evaluating new antimicrobial and immunomodulating therapies.
