Specialist in Pulmonology at the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona and member of the Biomedical Research Network Center for Respiratory Diseases (CIBERES), where she actively participates in national and international research projects as part of the "Applied Research in Respiratory Diseases" group of IDIBAPS. She is currently a doctoral candidate in the "Biopathology and Respiratory, Cardiovascular, and Renal Bioengineering" program, focusing on the molecular diagnosis of ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP).
Her research is focused on developing molecular techniques for the early microbiological diagnosis of VAP, a work that has been recognized with several grants, including those from the Spanish Society of Pulmonology and Thoracic Surgery (SEPAR) for the project "Early Diagnosis in Lower Respiratory Tract Diseases Associated with Mechanical Ventilation," which forms the basis of his doctoral thesis. In 2021, she received the award for the best pulmonology project (2020/2021) granted by the Catalan Society of Pulmonology (SOCAP) for his contribution to the early detection of pneumonia in mechanically ventilated patients.
