Physiotherapist Victoria Alcaraz joins the research team
She will focus on the pulmonary rehabilitation in patients with Bronchiectasis non associated to Cystic Fibrosis
Victoria Alcaraz has recently joint the research group in order to work on the pulmonary rehabilitation in patients with Bronchiectasis non associated to Cystic Fibrosis (BQ-noFQ).
She holds a graduate Diploma in physiotherapy by the Facultat de Ciències de la Salut Blanquerna. She is currently taking an Official Master’s Degree on Applied Clinical Research on Health Science by Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and she has also took part in some other research projects carried out by the Facultat de Ciències de la Salut Blanquerna, the Associació Col•laboració Cochrane Iberioamericana and the Hospital Clínic i Provincial de Barcelona.
Her role in our group concerns Bronchiectasis non associated to Cystic Fibrosis and she will specifically focus on the pulmonary rehabilitation in patients. The main objective is to analyze and compare the effectiveness of airway clearance techniques with different degrees of autonomy in patients with BQ-noFQ.
She will also work on the creation of a database of patients with BQ-noFQ in order to both investigate the epidemiology and the clinical-microbiological of BQ-noFQ and to investigate the epidemiology and the clinical-microbiological of BQ-noFQ.
