Anna Motos joins the research team
She joins the team to develop her Master Thesis for the Master in Translational Medicine
Degree in Biotechnology by the University of Barcelona (UB) in 2013, she is currently studying a Master in Translational Medicine-MSc Cellex from University of Barcelona. She joined the group in January 2014 in order to do her Master Thesis, which she is about to finish.
She works on the clinical trial focused on the study of the effect of systemic treatment with linezolid and vacomycin in biofilm of endotracheal tubes from intubated patients with pneumonia caused by methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus. This clinical trial in humans, coordinated by Dr. Laia Fernàndez-Barat and with Prof. Antoni Torres as its Principal Investigator, is based on previous studies by the research group in the porcine animal model.
She also works in the microbiological analysis of respiratory samples from various projects of the animal model.
